Need installation?

Symm-Care Services can professionally install any
EMC Symmetrix or Clariion System to any Hosts.
We can dispatch one of our CE’s for an On-Site
Installation or we remotely install your storage
system via modem, network connection or VPN.

On-Site installation

Our on-site installation is our most comprehensive process.
To start, our CE’s go through a pre-installation meeting to
discuss disk allocation, partitions and raid protection.
Once on-site, the system is powered up and the subsystems
are tested. Next the bin file is created, the LUNs are attached,
and channel cables (Fibre, Ultra SCSI, FICON or ESCON)
are attached to host/s (HBA’s) and/or fibre switch.
On Clariion Systems, Raid Groups are Created.
Pathways are tested, final system check.

In total the CE’s are on-site for approximately 2-3 Days.

Remote Installation

For customers who are more comfortable with connecting
cables and powering the machine up themselves, or in
instances when time is of the essence or there is a problem
getting to the location, a remote installation is ideal.

Our remote installations are performed using either a modem,
network connection or a VPN,
